This is a 1922 Peace silver dollar from the Philadelphia mint (no mint mark visible on the reverse near the eagle’s tail feathers).
VF-20 (Very Fine). This is a conservative assessment for a pleasing circulated example major details are defined and attractive.
Key Obverse Wear Indicators: Liberty’s cheek is flattened and smooth (a high point that wears quickly). The hair waves above the forehead and over the ear are worn flat but still show some separation and minor strands (not completely merged). The crown rays are visible but softened at the tips. The date “1922” and motto “IN GOD WE TRVST” are clear and bold, with no fading. The rim is intact and doesn’t blend into the lettering.
• Key Reverse Wear Indicators: The eagle’s wing and leg feathers are flattened with some blending (rows are partially visible but not sharp). The breast and head show definition, but high points are soft. The sun rays behind the eagle are distinct but not crisp. “PEACE” on the rock is fully legible.
