Curved Bowl Adze - Big Curve - Steel 4150!!!

Cast and after that forged and tempered sculpting, wood carving and a wood working BIG CURVE BOWL adze. It combines sharp blade and claw hammer. The whole in the center is for pulling nails. Very useful and well balanced. Very sharp and durable blade. AISI-4150 HRC 50-55 !!! Traditional use of the adze is for removing bark and trimming or shaping timber. Authentic log home builders, as well as traditional shipbuilders, make use of the adze. Artists and sculptors use various sizes of adzes for making totem poles, masks and bowls. Craftspeople who follow age-old customs use adzes for making barrel staves, forming chair seats and making bowls and troughs. Please NOTE: The adze head have conic shape of the eye. The handle is from beech tree and it is made at lathe. It have conic shape also and fits perfectly to the adze eye. The handle is removable because of the easy sharpening of the adze blade as it should be! You will receive the adze removed out of the handle and you should mount it tight.
