Tekton cold chisels are designed to cut and shear metal parts. The chisels cut rusted bolts and rivet heads, and clean burrs and rough edges off cast iron, steel, brass, bronze, copper, and aluminum. They're ideal in spaces too tight for a saw and won't overheat the area like a torch. Each chisel is individually heat treated to harden and strengthen the tip while maintaining the soft temper of the striking end. The chisel blades are rough sharpened before heat treatment and then re-sharpened to a precise edge after heat treatment. The striking end absorbs hammer blows without chipping. Tekton cold chisels are made from 5160 high carbon steel and finished with a dry, rust-preventative coating. They're also marked with a high-visibility laser marking. All Tekton punches and chisels are made in the USA.
